The seminar Bangladesh Today: Rebuilding the Future was held on 28 November 2025 at the Centre for Advanced Studies of the University of Santiago de Compostela, at the request of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Spain. The event was organized to mark the new chapter that began for Bangladesh following the October 2024 Revolution.
The seminar was co-chaired by Professor Santiago Fernández Mosquera and Professor Mirza Wasfi Jabber of the Inditex Chair, and was attended by the Chair’s Director, Professor Eduardo Barros Grela.

“Spain-Bangladesh: Bilateral Relations in the Era of Transition in the International System”.
Dolores Riveiro García, IDEGA:
“Galicia-Bangladesh comercial relations in the context of the Spanish international trade”.
Montserrat Pintado Lobato, Facultade de Ciencias Políticas e da Administración, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela:
“Spain and Bangladesh in a changing international order: opportunities and challenges”.
The seminar attracted a large audience, who had the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into Bangladesh’s current sociopolitical and economic landscape from the country’s highest-ranking diplomatic representative in Spain.
