Vocal Recital by the Cantoría Vocal Ensemble

On Thursday, 23 April 2026, to celebrate World Book Day, an occasion of particular significance in Spanish culture, the Inditex Chair organized a recital by Cantoría, a vocal ensemble from Murcia specializing in Renaissance and Baroque vocal music.

The event offered the Spanish community in Dhaka, together with the Chair’s students, the opportunity to enjoy a varied program performed by Inés Alonso (soprano), Belén Herrero (alto), Jorge Losana (tenor and artistic director), David Guitart (bass), and Pablo FitzGerald (vihuela).

As the ensemble explains, the program celebrated the richness of Mediterranean culture and invited audiences to experience, through music, the same blend of humour, drama, devotion, and humanity that fills the pages of Cervantes.
