Recitals of Spanish music given by the guitarist and guitar teacher Margarita Escarpa.

Margarita Escarpa performed a selection of works by Spanish and other contemporary composers in three recitals given in Dhaka and organised by the Inditex Chair of Spanish Language and Culture. The recitals, which attracted large audiences, took place in the Red Shift Café, the Berlin Hall (Goethe Institute) and the Teachers and Students Centre at Dhaka University.

Margarita Escarpa, one of Europe's leading performers of classical guitar music, began her guitar studies at the Royal Music Conservatory in Madrid and currently teaches at the Vigo Music Conservatory (Spain). She has won a number of major prizes in important international competitions and been invited to take part in many prestigious classical musical festivals around the world.
